13/04/2022    Leanne's Diary - A busy day in Caerphilly

The day started with an early morning ward walkabout with who I thought was our youngest candidate. Nathan (Coco) Flannagan is 18 and he is standing in Abertysswg at the top of the Rhymni Valley.

He's been pipped by a few months as our youngest candidate by Cerith Rhys Jones, who is standing for Plaid Cymru in Cathays. (its great to see that we have so many young people standing for the party throughout Wales- well done and good luck to all of you.)

13/04/2022    Extra Mile: Cycling the #Extramile in Cardiff!

In Cardiff, Plaid has gone the #extramile to improve green transport.  We've more than doubled spending on cycle lanes and infrastructure and launched a new park and ride scheme to reduce congestion and emissions in the city.

A total of £21m secured by Plaid has led to bus improvements, expanded pedestrianisation and the development of the Pont-y-Werin Bridge linking the international sports village with Penarth.

Under Plaid plans in Cardiff, an expanded cycle hire scheme based on a successful one in London would be introduced while innovative workplace, school and residential Personal Travel Plans would be developed along with promotion of car sharing schemes.
