Plaid AM presses for extended support for Small businesses

Small firms suffering during current crisis

Plaid Cymru AM for North Wales, Llyr Huws Gruffydd has pressurised the Welsh government to extend support for Small and Medium Sized businesses.

During questions to the Finance Minister in the Senedd, Mr Gruffydd said that the Labour government’s response to the current economic crisis had been non-existent and that ministers are failing to help the people they are meant to serve.

Plaid Cymru AM for the north Wales region, Llyr Huws Gruffydd said

“Small and medium sized firms are the backbone of our economy in Wales – and there is no sign whatsoever that this Labour Welsh government even realises that our economy is in crisis.

“Plaid Cymru is putting pressure on the government to extend the plan that we introduced while in government which helps out small firms with their business rates.  We want to help businesses survive the current economic crisis and save jobs in the process.

“I’m determined to continue to push Labour to finally use government resources to help businesses and communities during this economic crisis.”
