Janet Ryder AM

Janet Ryder is an Assembly Member for North Wales and was first elected in 1999. She was born in 1955 and attended St Ann's Convent High School, Newcastle; Northern Counties College of Education, Newcastle and the Open University. She worked as a teacher and youth worker before being elected. Her political interests include Education and Local Government. Janet speaks English and has learnt Welsh since moving to Wales. In her spare time, she enjoys folk music, community events and rugby league.
