Luke Nicholas. Luke was born in Cardiff in 1987 and grew up in Barry. He has worked as a Press Officer for Plaid Assembly Members and as Plaid's Campaigns Officer, but also in retail. Luke attended Barry Comprehensive School and Swansea University where he graduated in International Relations. In the 2008 local elections Luke was the youngest Plaid candidate in Wales. Luke was elected to the Cymru X executive in 2008. His political interests are trade unionism, Cuba solidarity, and studying national liberation movements. He is interested in Welsh history and his main political influences are Gwyn Alf Williams and Nelson Mandela. Outside of politics he likes music, having been in a number of bands and toured in Europe and North America, and also enjoys football and travel.

Chad Rickard. Chad is 23 and was born and raised in Pontypridd. He attended Hawthorn High School and Cardiff University where he studied politics and ancient history. Chad has worked in various jobs before starting in 2009 as the Development Officer in Plaid's HQ. Chad was elected secretary at the 2009 AGM. He has been active in Plaid Cymru since the age of 15 and has been a constituency secretary and vice-chair. His political interests include constitutional affairs, tax reform, the economy, education, and welfare and justice reform.

Geraint Edwards. Geraint is Cymru X's Treasurer. He has been a member of Plaid Cymru since 2001 and was branch secretary of one of Cymru X's predecessor organisations, the Plaid Cymru Student Federation, while studying in Cardiff between 2001 and 2006. Geraint's interests include travelling, music, playing guitar and keeping fit at the gym.

Press and Communications

Caryl Wyn Jones. I was born and raised on a rural farm in the Conwy valley. I have a Law and Politics degree from Cardiff University. My career started working for S4/C's legal unit and I now work for Plaid Cymru as the Office Manager at the headquarters. My first formal political position started as the Chair of CymruX – Young Plaid. I'm also active in my local area of Riverside helping residents with various issues as well as being a governor in a local primary school. In 2010 I stood as Plaid Cymru's parliamentary candidate in the Vale of Clwyd. I was the youngest female parliamentary candidate in Wales.

Campaigns and Policy

Owain Rhys James. Owain was born in Cardiff and having been in Cambridge studying for a law degree, he has now returned to train as a barrister at Cardiff University. He has an interest in the legal aspects of devolution and in Public law. In his free time Owain enjoys playing, and watching, rugby and cricket as well enjoying a warm pint of ale!

Non Portfolio Officer

Cerith Rhys Jones. Cerith was born and raised in the Amman Valley and is 17 years old, currently in final year of 6th form at Welsh medium school, Ysgol Ystalyfera, after which he plans on studying Politics and Welsh at university. Cerith has worked for Jonathan Edwards MP and Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM and is also a former climate change champion for Wales. His political interests include the Welsh language, climate change and the environment, community development and education. Cerith's other interests are campaigning, blogging, reading and socialising.

His political interests include education, community cohesion, social justice and the Welsh language. In his spare time he often frequents many of Cardiff's watering holes and can be seen ranting about politics, otherwise he is usually near a cricket pitch bowling or batting very badly!
